Dr. Montessori believed that every child learns individually and should be encouraged to work at their own pace. The montessor method allows children to discover and learn from their own experiences and is based on principles of observation, order, construction and independence in the prepared environment.
The goal of montessori education is to prepare children for a lifetime of creative thinking and learning. Montessori set about designing learning materials and studyging children as they work quietly, offer guidance,and prepare them for their next activity when it is time to do so.
The classroom is designed so that a child can access the montessori materials easily, freely selecting and replacing them without the need of adult assistance. These materials, combined with a specifically prepared environment and trained teachers led to the montessori method of education.
Children are offered a broad academic eduction in the context of a carefully planned and stimulating environment. The montessori method is committed to helping children develop within themselves the foundation habits, attitudes, skills and ideas that are essential for achieving this goal.

I am excited to be able to write a letter to a future Little Hearts Family and student. I say family because that is exactly how we felt and still feel about my daughter’s time at Little Hearts. (She is now headed to Kindergarten) It was an amazing year for her as a student and person. She was loved and educated in such a great environment with loving teachers. My daughter grew more than I could imagine in her time there. She went from behind for her age to way ahead.
Mrs. Sakounlaphoum is an amazing teacher. My daughter was able to get lessons everyday she needed them and therefore not wasting any time. It is truly ran with the Montessori way of learning-letting the child lead when their brain is ready but still accomplishing so much. I would recommend and feel lucky to be part of this school. For the past year Max has learned so much at Little Hearts Montessori School! We didn't expect our four-year-old to learn math and reading in such an advanced level within a few months!
Ms. Sakounlaphoum is very organized and experienced with the Montessori method, the kids not only learn about academic subjects, but they are trained to do things independently at school.
The self motivated learning approach really shows in our child's growth and development. We can not be happier about the school, the teachers and the environment Little Hearts Montessori has provided our child!

Little Hearts Montessori is such a special place. Our daughter went there for her last year of preschool before starting kindergarten. Before Little Hearts, preschool had been more of a social hour, and our daughter still had quite a bit of work to do on her alphabet, etc. During the school year, our daughter mastered the alphabet, her numbers, writing, and even started to read.
Seeing her blossom at Little Hearts was so special. The academic side was amazing, but even more important was seeing all the encouragement and focus on life skills as well. The teachers are so intentional about teaching the kids to just be good people and friends to each other. They are extremely patient with each kiddo and really care about each child. Our only regret is that we hadn't started at Little Hearts one year earlier.

We have sent all our children through traditional Montessori early education programs. Our third son has attended Little Hearts Montessori for one full year and is entering his second preschool year the fall of 2020. We value the Montessori way and independent learning environment, but what we value more as parents is the loving demeanor and kindness of their teachers.
Children need a positive and nurturing environment with real love and compassion. Mrs. Sakounlaphoum and Mrs. Eaton foster learning, loving and encouragement for my child. As parents we've watched our youngest flourish under their care and guidance. He love going to school and he's making tremendous academic progress. Little Hearts Montessori is the best thing that has ever happened to our daughters. The amount of passion, love, and time Mrs. Sakounlaphoum puts in for the children in her classroom is more than you could ever dream of for a teacher to do. Our daughters are so far ahead of their age group in reading, math, and just everyday tasks.
Putting our daughters in Little Hearts Montessori is the best decision we’ve made. It is such a fun, loving, and safe place for our girls. We could not ask for a better environment for them. The best part is that the girls want to go to class every morning and they always have a wonderful day. It is amazing to feel like I’m dropping my girls off with family.
